Sounds too harsh! But let's look at it from another side...


Our mind is a beautiful and creative space when we use it properly and it's in harmony with our feelings and actions. But often, we use our minds in the wrong way, and we pay no attention to our feelings.


For example, if something went wrong at your job and you were blamed for it. Let say you were silent and took the blame even though you weren't at fault. You were afraid of other consequences. When you get home later, you see that your child did something wrong and you take it out on her. She starts crying and you get even angrier.


Then, you justify the situation and explain to everyone around you what she did wrong. Later, guilt sets in and you tell yourself that you put too much pressure on yourself and that you will do better next time. But you feel ashamed and don't reflect with your child about your part and stick to your view that it was wrong.


Fear, sadness, anger, guilt, shame... Emotions, right? You're using your mind to escape your body and the feelings in your body. With this strategy, you're spinning in a black spiral of frustration, uncomfortable feelings, and conflicts with the people you love the most!


But when you run away from unpleasant feelings, you also separate yourself from pleasant feelings and emotions. This is the reality of our human nature.

To feel calm, peaceful and grounded again, you need to address your body and its feelings - NO EXCEPTION, NO COMPROMISE!

Paying attention to and being aware of your feelings is essential because BEING GROUNDED IS A FEELING! If being grounded is a feeling, how will you recognize when you are grounded if you ignore your feelings?


See, simple logic! You need to pay attention to your feelings. There is no other way.

Why grounding?

When we're grounded, we're present in the moment, we're present in reality, and we're deeply in touch with our feelings in the moment. When we're grounded, we have an inner reference point to come back to when our lives challenge us and we're out of balance. In these moments, we're in connection with our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual selves. We're centered and balanced, more stable and not easily influenced by others' ideas or people. Our perception is more precise and we have a clearer connection with ourselves, with other people, with the environment, nature and the world as it is.

We're in balance when our actions are in harmony with our thoughts and feelings. Our balance depends on how well we are connected to our bodies and how grounded we are. This affects our authentic expression, which determines how happy we're with ourselves and in our relationships, how creative we're in our work, and how satisfied we're with our careers.
